- 4-5 tbsp gram flour
- 1/4 tsp fennel seeds
- 1/4 tsp carom seeds

- 1 green chilli finely chopped
- 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves

- 2 tomatoes roughly chopped
- 1 green chilli roughly chopped
- 1 small piece of ginger
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 pinch asafoetida
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 small stick cinnamon
- 2 cloves
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1 tsp kasuri methi
- 2 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 2-3 tbsp fresh whisked yoghurt
- 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
- to taste Salt
- 2 tbsp oil for making curry
- as required Oil to deep fry the koftas
Steps to make to make Cabbage Kofta Curry
- Firstly, mix all the ingredients of making koftas in a mixing bowl.
- Make lemon sized balls.
- Now heat oil in a wok and deep fry these balls on low medium flame till they are golden brown. Bring them out on a kitchen napkin and keep aside.
- Now add tomatoes, ginger and green chilli in a mixer jar. Blend it into a smooth paste. Keep aside.
- Heat oil in a wok on low medium flame.
- Add cumin seeds, bay leaf, cinnamon, cloves, asafoetida and kasuri methi. Saute for few seconds.
- Now add in the tomato paste and cook till the masala starts leaving oil.
- Add red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and kashmiri red chilli powder. Saute for 1 minute.
- Now add in the whisked yoghurt, give it a quick mix.
- Add 1 1/2 cups water along with garam masala powder and salt.
- Cook the gravy for few minutes and add the fried koftas. Further cook for just one minute and switch off the flame.
- Garnish with chopped coriander and serve hot with chapatis and rice.
