  8. 1/2 tsp garam masala
  9. 1 small onion finely chopped (optional)
  10. 2 tbsp coriander leaves chopped

  14. 2 onions (grind it)
  15. 1 green chilli chopped
  16. 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  17. 2 tomatoes (make paste)
  18. 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  19. 1 bay leaf
  20. 3/4 tsp turmeric powder
  21. 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  22. 1 tsp garam masala powder
  23. 1/2 coriander powder
  24. 1/2 tsp jeera powder
  25. as required Coriander leaves chopped
  26. to taste Salt
  27. as required Oil

Steps to make to make Lauki ke kofte

  1. Peel and grate lauki. Add some salt Then squeeze its water completely.
  2. Now transfer the grated lauki in a big bowl.Add gram flour, spices, chopped onion green chilli,coriander leaves grated ginger and salt.
  3. Mix all ingredients well for a thick batter. which should not be thin.To adjust its consistency add 1/2 tbsp more gram flour in it and make kofta immediately.
  4. Divide the mixture into equal portion and make round shaped balls. Coat koftas with gram flour for crispy
  5. Now heat the oil in a pan on medium flame.Add koftas for deep frying.Stir occasionally and fry until the koftas turn crispy golden brown evenly. Take out these on absorbent keep aside.
  6. Now heat 3 tbsp oil in a pan add cumin seeds and bay leaf when seeds crackle add ginger garlic paste.Fry it few seconds then add grind onion and fry it light pink colour.
  7. Now add tomato paste, chopped green chilli and fry it for few minutes. Add cumin powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, chili powder and salt. Fry all ingredients well until it leaves oil.
  8. Now add 3/4 cup water for gravy and cook it for 4-5 minutes then add fried koftas to it. Add some garam masala and kasuri methi.Cook for 3-4 minutes. turn off the flame. Adjust consistency of gravy as you desire.
  9. Transfer the koftas in a serving bowl and garnish with chopped coriander leaves. Serve with roti.
