  1. 350 gms - Ladies Finger (cut into medium sizes)
  2. 1/2 tsp - Cumin seeds
  3. 1/2 tsp - Asafoetida
  4. 4 - Green chillies finely chopped
  5. 1 tsp - Ginger paste
  6. 1 tsp - Garlic paste
  7. 2 - Onions finely chopped
  8. 1 - Tomato finely chopped
  9. 1/2 tsp - Red chilli powder
  10. 1 tsp - Turmeric powder
  11. 1 tsp - Coriander powder
  12. 1 tsp -Cumin powder
  13. 1 cup - Curd
  14. 1/2 tsp - Garam masala powder
  15. 1 tbsp - Gram flour
  16. 30 grams - Oil
  17. 1 cup - Water
  18. 1/2 tsp - Sugar
  19. 1 tsp - Coriander leaves
  20. as per taste - Salt

Steps to make to make Dahi Bhindi

  1. Heat oil in a non stick pan, then add ladies finger, salt. Cook it till the colour of ladies finger is changed, then take it out in the plate.
  2. Next add more oil in the same pan and add asafoetida and cumin seeds and wait for 1minute. Now add chopped onions and fry until raw smell is gone.
  3. Then add chopped tomatoes and fry for few minutes. Next add ginger-garlic paste, chopped green chillies, red chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and salt. Mix it all together properly, then add gram flour and curd and mix it.
  4. Add 1 cup water into the masala, and fry until raw smell is gone. Next add ladies finger (bhindi). And cook for few minutes.
  5. Then add garam masala powder, sugar and chopped coriander leaves. Next let it cook for 2-3 minutes and then take it out in a serving bowl and our Dahi Bhindi is ready to serve.
