- 2 Tbls fried pine nuts
- 1 Tbls ghee,or ¼ cup vegetable oil,or olive oil
- 1/2 tsp mixed spices

Steps to make to make Kebbe
- Preparation of kebbe dough: Wash boulghur,and drain from water
- Leave aside untill boulghur seeds (doubled in size)
- Grind onion,basil,spices,salt & pepper paste. Add boulghur,mixing well using your hands
- Add ground meat to boulghur. Rub and knead with hands,or with electrical machine, until all ingredients start to form a paste /dough.
- Filling preparation: In a suitable frying pan,add ghee,and onion,stir until they go pale,add meat and spices. Stir all together untill cooked.
- Add fried pine nuts
- Using a spoon,wipe a baking try with little oil or ghee, spread half the quantity of kebbe dough on to the tray.
- Add the filling on to the dough, making sure the hole tray has been equally covered.
- Adding the remaining dough on top of the meat filling.
- Arrange the surface using your fingers or a spoon,untill we get a soft surface.Using a knife tip, cut desired shape/ design.
- Spread, some ghee or oil (as desired)on the top
- Place pine nuts on top of the surface (optional)
- Bake kebbe try on temperature of 350 degrees
- Can be served with traditional vegetable salad,cucumber yogurt sauce or a radish salad.
